Mercedes-Benz Vans in partnership with Triple M radio invited people to nominate their worksite’s “strong man” to take on the challenge, which was to load 300kgs of various items onto the back of a Sprinter Cab Chassis in less than two minutes, facing up against Australia’s Strongest Man, Ben Simpson.
SCA Digital came together with Triple M and Mercedes Benz to create a microsite for listeners to go to nominate their worksite’s “strong man”. Online banners and social posts were also created to build awareness for the campaign.
The challenge’s final showdown was held at Queensbridge Square in Southbank, Melbourne, with foreman David Catania facing up against Australia’s Strongest Man, Ben Simpson.
It was certainly a big ask – almost as big as Ben himself who weighs in at 127kgs and can dead lift 340kgs!
In a case of measurement over muscle, the 38 year old building foreman Dave defeated Australia’s Strongest Man to collect $10,000 in prizes.
